OREANDA-NEWS. July 22, 2013. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) found violations of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” by the Federal Air Transport Agency [Rosaviatsia] (Parts 1 and 3 Article 15, Article 16) and the “Aerotrans” Centre for Aviation Production-and-Control Services” OJSC (Article 16).

On 20th December 2012, FAS initiated a case against Rosaviatsia upon signs of violating the antimonopoly law. Rosaviatsia established mandatory requirements to forward copies of enquiries to “Aerotrans” for permissions for unscheduled international flights. “Aerotrans” also informed applicants about the approved conditions and flight specifics.

“Aerotrans” OJSC is a commercial organization that provides services for organizational support of aircraft flights, including services for obtaining permissions of unscheduled international flights.

Thus, providing the services organizational flight support to their customers, the companies are forced to apply to their competitor - “Aerotrans” OJSC.

The case was terminated due to voluntary elimination of the violations: respondents abolished the controversial requirements before the Court hearing.
