Taneco Summarized Half-Year Results
OREANDA-NEWS. The employees' meeting on the results of the first half of 2013 was held at the “TANECO” Refinery and Petrochemical Plants Complex with participation of Nail Maganov, First Deputy General Director of JSC TATNEFT and Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC “TANECO”.
A total amount of 3,794,521 tons of oil was processed as of July 12, 2013. Starting July 1 of the current year the conversion ratio reached the level of more than 74 percent with the share of light petroleum product amounting to more than 49 percent. Production facilities guarantee performance tests at 115 percent of the nominal-rated capacity were carried out. The production operating capacity of “TANECO” today is 114.7 percent of the design value.
Production of two new products was started at the “TANECO” refinery in the first half of 2013: visbreaking residue (raw material for bitumen production) and kerosene/gas oil fraction. The predictable volume of oil refining in 2013 is 8,000,000 tons. These and other figures were given in the speech of Leonid Alekhin, General Director of JSC “TANECO”. Chief Executive of the enterprise designated the key objectives for 2013 including preparation for commissioning operations and comprehensive testing of Phase 1B1 facilities: first start-up cycle of the combined hydrocracking installation.
Gulnara Muzipova, Chairwoman of the Trade Union Committee of “TANECO”, pointed out in her speech that all the commitments set out in the Collective Agreement of the Company had been carried out to the full extent. The administration and the Trade Union Committee continued working together on such key areas as health and safety, provision of housing for the staff, health improvement of the collective members, as well as cultural and sports activities.
Nail Maganov, First Deputy General Director of JSC TATNEFT and Chairman of JSC “TANECO”'s Board of Directors, pointed out that the importance of crude oil refining was increasing substantially each year, and outlined major challenges that the Complex was facing. The refinery staff has to perform a lot of preparatory work during the next half year to ensure the crude oil processing volume in the amount of 8.5 million tons per year. Regular tasks set up for the experts of “TANECO” include increasing the turnaround time of up to three years or more. Of particular relevance are also commissioning operations and comprehensive testing of the first start-up cycle of the combined hydrocracking installation.
