First Meeting of Anti-Raiding Commission to Be Held in Ukraine
OREANDA-NEWS. July 19, 2013. Holding of the first meeting of Intergovernmental Commission on investor protection, combating illegal acquisition and takeover of companies is planned for next week. The First vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov said during the session of the Government, held under his chairmanship.
"We need to make sure that each investor is under protection of the Government. Moreover, each investor should see in the Ukrainian authorities not a risk factor, but a strategic partner. This requires a constant, direct dialogue with investors," Serhiy Arbuzov said.
In addition, First vice Prime Minister believes an open dialogue with business important aspect of improving the image and investment attractiveness of Ukraine. "We need to communicate more with the business community - both Ukrainian and foreign. Last week we met with representatives of Exxon-Mobil, which appreciate the potential of development of hydrocarbons in the Black Sea and ready to apply international best practices in its activity in the country," he added.
Serhiy Arbuzov also noticed that this week a meeting with the European Business Association will be held: " At this meeting we will not only speak, but to listen. I don't make an exception that the raised by investors issue will be disscused at the next meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and at the first meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission."
