OREANDA-NEWS. Transaero Airlines has been named Best Airline in EMEA by the readers of Frequent Business Traveler, an online publication written for and by affluent frequent business travelers. The award was presented at a ceremony in New York City on July 17, 2013.

The Frequent Business Traveler GlobeRunner Awards recognize the world's best airlines, hotels chains, automobile manufacturers, car rental agencies, luggage manufacturers and travel websites. Airlines are voted in three categories: Best Airline in the Americas; Best Airline in Europe/Middle East/Africa (EMEA) and Best Airline in Asia/Pacific.

Voting was conducted online from January until March this year and over 110,000 votes were cast by readers.

Transaero Airlines is the first Russian airline to receive a GlobeRunner Award.
