Gazpromneft Aero Will Invest over RUR 1.8 bln in Air Force Bases
OREANDA-NEWS. Gazpromneft Aero , the operator of Gazprom Neft's aviation fuel business, is planning to invest over 1.8 billion rubles in modernizing fueling infrastructure at Russian Air Force bases in 2013.
Since early 2013, Gazpromneft Aero has built seven new fuel testing laboratories at air force bases and has purchased 21 new fueling trucks for use in Pskov, Ryazan, Tambov, Lipetsk, Taganrog, Yekaterinburg, Orenburg, and Akhtubinsk. The company will continue to build new refueling facilities for the Russian Air Force to meet international aviation fuel supply standards.
“Large-scale modernization of airfield refueling infrastructure and the guaranteed quality of the products we supply allow us to work more closely with the Russian Air Force and introduce the best international practices of aviation fuel supply at airfields,” said Gazpromneft Aero CEO Vladimir Yegorov. “In 2012, the company delivered over 350,000 tons of fuel into airplanes at Russian Air Force bases, and we plan to exceed that number this year.”
