Uniastrum Customers Continue to Make More of Online Payment Services
OREANDA-NEWS. July 18, 2013. Results for June show a 30% upturn in payments to service providers made via Uniastrum’s multifunctional online banking facility 1Bank, which customers are now using increasingly to top up their Visa Qiwi Wallet electronic purses, and to pay for Internet, mobile phone and public utility services
More and more Uniastrum customers are using 1Bank to pay for the services provided by a wide range of companies. Uniastrum cardholders are finding that the Bank’s online payment facility is by far the easiest and most practical way to pay for public utilities, communications, and various other services offered by over 800 providers, as well as taxes and fines. Moreover, for most payments the Bank charges no fee.
Up until July 31 customers can take advantage of Uniastrum’s special “Real life, virtual action!” offer, which is open to anyone using its 1Bank online service. While the offer lasts, Uniastrum undertakes to return 0.5% of the total payments made to service providers by transferring the amount to the respective customer’s mobile phone balance. To take part in this special promo, all that’s required is to use 1Bank to pay for services totaling a minimum of Rb 2,000.
Also, Uniastrum will be treating the 30 customers paying for the most services online (each transaction equaling at least Rb 200) to a gift card for use at L’Etoile boutiques.
“The upswing in online payments is most definitely a positive trend,” notes Susanna Uzunyan, member of Uniastrum’s Management Board and head of the Retail Product Design and Development Division. “Internet banking is a simple and convenient way to pay for services. Unfortunately, there still aren’t enough customers taking advantage of our online solutions, which is why we conduct awareness-raising drives that enable them to learn about Internet services – all with a view to ensuring that the number of online banking users continues to increase.”
