OREANDA-NEWS. One more milestone of the span launching operations of the bridge over the Amur Channel has been completed near Khabarovsk. The total length of the section that has been launched is 530 meters, which is more than one-half the length of the bridge.

A box-shaped continuous span structure was installed by launching from the island side with the use of hydraulic equipment. The launching operations began in January 2013.

The bridge builders are about to complete assembly of the next section, which is composed of 26 steel modules. The total length of the new span section to be launched in the second half of July is 273 meters.
