OREANDA-NEWS. In June 2013 TVEL OJSC/TMZ OJSC was successfully qualified as a supplier of pressure tubes for CANDU reactors by Canadian Company CANDU ENERGY INC. with the support of Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL).

Successful results achieved due to several years of hard work will enable TVEL OJSC to take part in tenders for the delivery of pressure tubes for customers in Canada, Romania, Argentina, the Republic of Korea and China as well as in other countries where the construction of new CANDU reactors is slated for the near future.

The project on the development and effective qualification of a new product for reactors of western design together with further production deliveries are considered by TVEL OJSC as one of its priorities.
