OREANDA-NEWS. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Executive Vice President of the Sony Corporation Mr. Shoji Nemoto.

During the meeting Mr. Shoji Nemoto put forward a number of new business proposals which were developed in line with the development priorities of Turkmenistan and the willingness of the company specializing in a wide spectrum of fields to expand on the promising Turkmen market, making a profound contribution to the implementation of the ambitious programmes initiated by the Turkmen leader.

The possible areas for future cooperation included the further modernization of the media sector in Turkmenistan, procurement of state-of-the-art medical equipment, communication systems and equipment for recreation, entertainment and cultural activities. A focus of the talks was the possible involvement of the company in the organisation of the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.

The prospects for mutually beneficial business partnership will be discussed during the forthcoming official visit of the Turkmen leader to Japan. The Sony Corporation will make presentations of its innovative developments in the framework of the visit.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and his guest expressed belief that all the plans would be fulfilled and new joint projects would be implemented enhancing the economic potential of the two countries that moved forward along the path of prosperity and progress.
