OREANDA-NEWS. July 17, 2013. With regard to the information released by BYD and the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department about the e-taxi charger, CLP Engineering (CLPE) would like to clarify as below:

With reference to the earlier e-taxi charger incident happened on 18 June 2013, CLPE reiterates the power supply installation of the charger has passed the safety requirements of relevant supply
ordinance. After the incident, all relevant parties have jointly inspected the charger and confirmed that the power installation and its connection to the charger fulfilled all safety requirements by law and is proved unrelated to the incident.
