OREANDA-NEWS. July 17, 2013. As of today, more than 56000 combine harvesters operate on fields. And in coming years their number will be increased to 75 000 units as harvest of grain in Ukraine is gradually increasing. The Government is establishing co-production with international companies to modern technology will be affordable to agrarian producers.

This was announced by Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhnyuk during his working visit to Kharkiv region.

"Today, harvest is ongoing in all regions. Nearly 56 000 combine harvesters operate on the fields, and loads of them quite large. In the central regions, it is up to 270 ha per a combine harvester and in southern regions more than 280 ha. So we gradually increase the number of harvesters, which are involved in harvesting. Having average harvest of 50 million tonnes we need have up to 75 000 units of equipment," Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said.

According to the Minister, the Government today decides how to establish joint production of equipment with world famous companies such as John Deere and CLAAS.

"All conditions have been created for this. And leasing programs to agricultural producers make vehicles accessible to all," the Minister said.
