OREANDA-NEWS. Anhui's actual use of foreign capital stood at USD 6.05 billion in the first half of 2013 (H1), up 21.4 percent year-on-year, the provincial Department of Commerce said.

Foreign direct investment (FDI) into the province rose 20.6 percent year-on-year to USD 5.6 billion.

In June alone, the province's FDI reached USD 1.49 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 13.9%.

The service sector saw a marked increase in FDI inflows between January and June. FDI into the sector totaled USD 1.78 billion, up 39.7 percent from a year earlier and accounting for 31.5 percent of the total FDI inflow during the period.

Foreign investment into the manufacturing sector amounted to USD 3.66 billion, taking a 64.9 percent share in the FDI inflow.

From January to June, up to 115 foreign funded enterprises got the green light to enter Anhui, up 27.8 percent year-on-year. Their investment under contracts totaled USD 1.29 billion, up 22.1 percent from the same period last year.
