OREANDA-NEWS. July 16, 2013. CBA held a workshop on organization of monetary units expertise at the head office of the Bank Respublika OJSC for relevant bank employees within a series of events implied for commercial banks.

The workshop participants were informed on the philosphy of monetary units, organization and maintenance of monetary units expertise in the banking system, the role and policy of the CBA in anti-money counterfeiting etc.

During the workshop questions from the participants on risks of failure to detect counterfeit banknotes in cash operations through technological systems applied in commercial banks and on foreign exchange expertise procedures were answered and discussions held.

At the end of the workshop, it was noted that CBA holds ongoing events to increase the level of servicing of the population in commercial banks, minimize risks of counterfeiting of the national currency, and raise awareness of employees. Banks are also provided with relevant technical assistance.
