OREANDA-NEWS.   Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, and Sberbank of Russia have reported that a number of Autopay service subscribers exceeded one million people. The two companies honored one millionth user – a Rostov-on-Don resident.

Tele2 launched Autopay in September 2012. Every day, 4,000 more clients sign up for the service. For less than a year the number of Autopay users has exceeded one million people. On average, mobile payments at Sberbank exceed sums topped up alternatively by 25%. Since the beginning of 2013, the amount of payments at Sberbank of Russia has increased by 10%.

 Aleksey Guzov, one millionth milestone of Autopay, lives in Rostov-on-Don. Celebrations to welcome one millionth user took place in the Tele2 sales and service centre in Rostov-on-Don, his native city. The user was greeted by Tele2 and Sberbank of Russia top managers: Tele2 Russia chief operations officer Dmitry Lopatukhin, Tele2 Rostov chief commercial officer Vladislav Chistyakov and Andrey Mordvinenko, CEO of Sberbank’s Bank XXI.

 The milestone user received valuable gifts, including a year of toll-free talks on Tele2 network and iPhone 5.

 “On behalf of our company, I would like to congratulate Aleksey Guzo and thank him for loyalty to Tele2. More Tele2 clients give preference to such modern and easy-to-use services as Autopay. Thus, the number of bank payments on Tele2 network is on a rise – it now totals around 30% of all transactions. This clearly points to the fact that our subscribers are equally good at saving money and time. We see the potential of this direction that is why we will continue offering innovative, more convenient and cost-efficient services to Tele2 subscribers”.

A user may subscribe to the service through Sberbank Online system, Mobile bank, self-service terminals and when receiving a bank card. Besides, Autopay users pay no commission and may take part in Sberbank bonus program “Thanks from Sberbank” which provides a subscriber with discounts from the bank’s partners”.


On Autopay service
 Tele2 customers subscribed to Autopay service may automatically top up their mobile accounts when the balance approaches the pre-set limit level (10, 30 or 50 rubles). Besides, subscribers set the refill amount ranging from 0 to 15,000 rubles.

 The funds are transferred from the Sberbank international card onto the Tele2 balance account. With the help of the Autopay service, susbcribers may top up not only their mobile accounts but also those of their relatives and friends. The subscription to Autopay is free of charge and no commission is paid for automatic payments.
