OREANDA-NEWS.  OJSC "Perm Engine Company" and OJSC "United Aircraft Corporation" (OAK) in Moscow signed a contract on delivery of engines PS-90A-76 for the aircrafts IL-76MD-90A. The document was signed on behalf "PMZ" - by the General Director of United Engine Building Corporation, Vladislav Masalov, on behalf of OJSC "United Aircraft Corporation" (OAK) - by the President of United Aircraft Corporation, Mikhail Pogosyan. In accordance with the contract terms PMZ will produce and deliver 156 engines for military transport aircrafts IL-76MD-90A within the period from 2013 to 2020. The first batch of 4 engines for OJSC "United Aircraft Corporation" (OAK) will be shipped in November 2013.

A signed contract is the first order from the ones planned for the next 10 years. At present the negotiations on subject of engines delivery for the Ministry of Defense of RF and other state customers are being held. The total quantity of engines ordered can reach 450 pcs., and they will be manufactured within the period up to 2025.

Managing Director, OJSC "Perm Engine Company" Sergey Popov, while commenting this event, remarked: "From the date of signing the contract for engines delivery for  IL-76MA-90A aircrafts a new serious life step will start for  the company. Implementation of this program will let to provide full load of production facilities of Perm Engine Company, update production and processing base of the company.

Moreover in June 2013, OJSC "PMZ" and OJSC "Bank VTB" reached an agreement of establishing a letter of credit limit for refinancing of a loan book and carrying out the company's present activities. This long-terms five-year limit will let to provide smooth work of a company in order to ensure compliance with cycle of buying materials, accessories, expensive semi-manufactured products and units to perform a growing production program and carry out investment activities.

Receipt of such a significant order for the engines delivery for the period up to 2020 and signing of a long-term credit agreement with OJSC "Bank VTB" will let our company to feel confident about the future".

Certified in 2003 PS-90A-76 engine significantly improves operational features of IL-76MD-90A aircrafts. The engine corresponds not only to existing but also potential rules and regulations of ICAO on noise and hazardous emissions, and that lets aircraft to be operated in any part of the world. Up to present a batch of 74 PS-90A-76 engines is being operated on the wing of IL-76TD-90, IL-76MF, A-50 aircrafts in airline companies of Russia, Azerbaijan, India and Jordan. Within this period the engine practically confirmed its high performance. As for July 1, 2013 the leader engine has been operated for 10 646 hours (2889 flights) without overhauls and goes on being operated, which is a record in domestic engine-building. Over 200 engines of all types of PS-90A family have been produced. Total operation time of the whole fleet reached 3.2 million hours up to now.
