OREANDA-NEWS. July 15, 2013. Euromoney Magazine has named Sberbank as the best bank in Russia and the best bank in Central and Eastern Europe in its annual Awards for Excellence. Sberbank received the awards in London last night in the presence of over 500 leading bankers from around the world.

The Awards for Excellence are held annually and viewed by many as the definitive awards for global financial services. Judging criteria include size, profitability, growth, outperformance of peers and the ability to adapt to changing markets to meet client needs. The awards are judged by an independent panel of highly respected editors, journalists and researchers.
