Belarus Raises Retail Prices for Certain Cigarette Brands
OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus is raising retail prices for certain imported cigarette brands on July 1, 2013 by 2.2%-24.4%, depending on the brand, the Tax Ministry of Belarus told.
The price rise affects practically all cigarette brands manufactured by Belarus’ two tobacco mills.
Retail prices of the Kronon cigarette brand goes up 24.4% to Br5,600 per pack; Magnat, Minsk, Premier, NZ - up 22.4% to Br6,000 per pack; Korona - up 21.2% to Br6,000 per pack, Pall Mall - up 5.7% to Br5,700, Viceroy - up 5.7% to Br8,300, Rider - up 11.1% to Br8,000, Monte Carlo - up 4.4% to Br8,300, West - up 5.2% to Br10,000, Winston - up 4.8% to Br11,000.
Retail prices of Kent brand cigarettes (imported by Belarustorg) will go up by 4% to Br13,000-13,500 per pack.
The prices of other imported brand cigarettes have remained unchanged.
The latest increase in tobacco prices was registered on June 1, 2013, with prices growing by 4.3-14.3%, depending on the brand.
