Yucca Valley Walmart Welcomes Customers to Relocated Store
OREANDA-NEWS. A newly relocated Walmart will open Wednesday, July 17, after a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8 a.m. The new store at 58501 Twentynine Palms Highway is conveniently located at Avalon and Twentynine Palms Highway and will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It will provide Yucca Valley residents with one-stop shopping convenience for their grocery and general merchandise needs. The store is relocating from its previous location at 57980 Palms Highway. The store also offers pharmacy services.
One-Stop Shopping Convenience
The store features quality, value-priced general merchandise, including apparel, electronics, toys, sporting goods, and a expanded lawn and garden center. It also offers a full line of groceries, including organic and natural selections in addition to local favorites.
The pharmacy offers a full range of products and services. Pharmacy team members can answer product and prescription questions and offer health and wellness solutions.
Community Giving
The grand-opening celebration also includes presentations of grants from Walmart and the Walmart Foundation to local community groups. USD 10,000 in grants from Walmart and the Walmart Foundation will be presented throughout the year to area organizations.
New Store, New Jobs
The newly relocated store employs approximately 300 full- and part-time associates, including approximately 85 jobs created by the relocation. Store manager Milagros Robinson began her Walmart career in 2001 as a overnight stocker at this store.
“We are so excited to bring this newly relocated store to Yucca Valley,” said Robinson. “We think customers will be pleased with our selection, as well as with the savings we offer on our full line of groceries and merchandise. On grand-opening day, we will be offering product samples and giveaways, and we invite everyone to stop in and see the new store.”
A Big Family Welcome
Walmart is happy to be part of the Yucca Valley community and is ready to celebrate with residents on Saturday, July 20. A Big Family Welcome will give customers a chance to meet Robinson and enjoy fun family activities such as face painting, cupcake decorating and free food samples while supplies last. Join the celebration from noon to 3 p.m.
