OREANDA-NEWS. July 11, 2013. The Government of the Russian Federation endorsed the Policy Plan of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) for 2013-2018.

On 18th June 2013, the Head of FAS Igor Artemiev approved the Policy Plan.

Devising the Plan, FAS took into account the objectives outlined in the Order of the President of the Russian Federation “On Improving Housing Conditions of the Citizens of the Russian Federation”, the main areas of the work of the Government of the Russian Federation for the period of up to 2018, and the following Action Plans (“Road Maps”): “Developing Competition and Improving the Antimonopoly Policy”, “Improving the Entrepreneurial Climate in Construction”, and “Increasing Accessibility of Energy Infrastructure”.

The Plan also includes measures aimed at protecting and developing competition on particular markets that are not included in the “Road Maps”.

“The draft Plan underwent the public consultation procedure as part of the efforts by FAS Public Advisory Council and received positive responses, and on 27th June it was approved by the Government of the Russian Federation. The final version of the Plan combines objectives and events designed to advance antimonopoly regulation, the Road Map for developing competition, and other documents”, pointed out Deputy Head of FAS, Stats-Secretary Andrey Tsarikovskiy.
