OREANDA-NEWS. Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has been conferred with the Power Line Award 2013 for Best Performing Transmission Company. The award was presented by Honorable Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power, Sh. Jyotiraditya M. Scindia to CMD, POWERGRID, Shri R.N.Nayak at an award function held in New Delhi.

POWERGRID received the coveted award based on its outstanding performance and growth in its Network, Sub-station Capacity, profits and transmission availability. The awards were spread across 13 categories which recognised excellent performance in the Indian power sector. The eminent six-member jury of this award was chaired by Sh. R.V. Shahi, former Secretary, Ministry of Power and consisted of distinguished power sector personalities.
