OREANDA-NEWS. July 10, 2013. JSC TATNEFT is consistently working to build up its intellectual property. By the last year results the Company owns 36 percent of the patents of the Republic of Tatarstan and every third application for an invention.

These figures were presented at a ceremonial meeting held at the Ministry of Economy of Tatarstan dedicated to Inventor and Innovator Day. The staff of JSC TATNEFT was among the best companies and organizations in the innovation, rationalization and patent/licensing work by the results of 2012 and was awarded a diploma and a thank-you letter from the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan.

While speaking at the meeting, Artem Zdunov, Economy Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan pointed out that today a lot of attention is paid in our country to the formation of tangible and intangible assets of enterprises. A program "Development of the Intellectual Property Market in the RT for 2012 - 2020" is being implemented in Tatarstan aimed at providing economic benefits through the efficient management of the intellectual property. As part of the XVIIth St. Petersburg's International Economic Forum, which completed its work late in June of this year, a formal decision was taken on the replication of the Tatarstan's intellectual property market development program, which is the first in the Russian Federation, for innovative regions of Russia.

Rationalization and invention activities of JSC TATNEFT contribute to implementation of the mentioned republican program. In 2012, the Company's professionals introduced 11,562 rationalization proposals, inventions, utility models and computer programs. 244 requests for contemplated inventions and utility models were sent to the Federal Institute of Industrial Property and 246 documents of title were received.

Ten projects of the JSC TATNEFT were named the best at the VIII-th Republican contest "50 best innovative ideas for the Republic of Tatarstan".

9 engineering developments of the Company were awarded diplomas by the results of the Republican contest "Best Invention of the Year".

18 representatives of TATNEFT were named the winners and laureates in the competition "Young Innovator and Inventor of the Republic of Tatarstan".

The Company also was named the winner of the Republican review contest "Resource Efficiency. Energy conservation." in the nomination "Fuel industry". Professionals of the Joint Stock Company were awarded the I-st degree diploma for the technology of dumping and cleaning produced water at well cluster and the II-nd degree diploma in the category "Energy efficient products" for the hot-separation technology used to supply the plants with own fuel gas.
Engineering developments and inventions of the JSC TATNEFT received six gold medals, five silver and six bronze ones at the XVI-th Moscow International Salon of Inventions and Innovation Technologies "Archimedes-2013".
