NSD Appoints New Deputy Chairman of Executive Board
OREANDA-NEWS. National Settlement Depository (NSD), Russia's central securities depository, reports that Maria Krasnova has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the company's Executive Board.
Ms. Krasnova, who previously headed Depository Clearing Company CJSC (DCC) as President, successfully completed the integration of NSD and DCC. Ms. Krasnova will continue working on NSD's legal issues, interactions with governmental organizations, corporate governance and issues of methodology, development and measures related to risk management.
Maria Krasnova graduated from the Lomonosov Moscow State University with a specialty in law. In 2010-2011, she took the Corporate Director course in the Higher School of Economics. In January 2001, she joined National Depository Center (NDC) as a chief of the Legal Department. In November 2009, Ms Krasnova was elected a member of the Executive Board of NDC. A year later she was named head of the Legal Department of NSD, NDC's successor. In July 2011, Ms Krasnova was appointed Deputy Chairman of the company's Executive Board. In April 2012, she was appointed DCC President.
National Settlement Depository (NSD) is the central securities depository of the Russian Federation, a part of the Moscow Exchange Group. NSD is Russia's national numbering agency and the substitute numbering agency for the CIS, authorized to assign the international ISIN and CFI codes.
The status of central securities depository was assigned to NSD by the Russian Federal Financial Markets Service's order on 6 November 2012.
NSD holds professional securities market participant license #177-12042-000100 for depository operations issued by the Russian Federal Financial Markets Service on 19 February 2009, license #3294 for bank operations issued by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation on 26 July 2012 and license #077-00004-000010 for the clearing activities issued by the Russian Federal Financial Markets Service on 20 December 2012.
