IDGC of Centre Reconstructs Infrastructure of Federal Motor-Way
OREANDA-NEWS. In accordance with the investment program of IDGC of Centre back in 2012 the company's power engineers had performed a large-scale renovation of the grid complex that provides power supply to the Lipetsk section of the federal motor-way. The project provided for power supply of outdoor lighting, toll terminals, social infrastructure, it took 1.8 MW of additional capacity to implement it. In this regard the 35/10 kV substations "Cossack", "Kolesovo", "Gnilusha", "Aurora", "Horse-Well" and the 110/35/10 kV substation "Khlevnoe" were reconstructed, 28 kilometres of overhead power lines of 10 kV and 8 kilometres of cable lines of 10 kV were constructed. The construction was performed with the use of self-supporting insulated wire.
This year, power engineers of IDGC of Centre have started the reconstruction of power lines of the Voronezh section of the federal motor-way "Don", at which the width of the roadway was increased, interchanges and an overpass were reconstructed. Outdated poles of 35-110 kV overhead power lines were replaced with metal double circuit, and reinforced concrete poles with centrifuged racks were installed as intermediate poles. Such poles are particularly resistant to vibration, corrosion, and adverse weather conditions. By the moment the power engineers of IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division have replaced 35 poles.
The construction and reconstruction of the power grid infrastructure to supply the motor-way M4 "Don" is part of a set of the federal actions to modernize the country's most important roads. The topic has gained special relevance in connection with the preparation for the 2014 Olympics in Sochi. In connection with this power engineers of IDGC of Centre set a task not only to ensure stable, high-quality and reliable power supply to the road, but also to provide headroom for further development of the infrastructure of the federal motor-way. The main emphasis was placed on the use of modern technologies, advanced materials and equipment.
Currently, the "Don" crosses the territory of seven regions of the Russian Federation. 52 kilometres of the road pass through the Lipetsk region, and more than 317 kilometres - in the Voronezh region.
