OREANDA-NEWS. July 09, 2013. The Head of State considers the situation in the sphere of road construction inadmissible. Particularly, it concerns the quality of public roads and roads in communal property.

According to the Head of State, it is time to introduce new approaches in this sphere and carry out radical reformation.

Thus, the President instructed the Cabinet of Ministers and local executive bodies to increase the efficiency of road management and solve urgent issues related to the road repair.

Particularly, the Government must transfer local public roads and respective financial resources to local executive bodies by the end of the year.

Also, there is a task to elaborate proposals on the establishment and funding of State road fund within the State Budget of Ukraine starting from 2014.

Moreover, the Cabinet of Ministers is instructed to elaborate issue of producing high-quality bitumen in Ukraine to meet the needs of road builders in the course of their usage of the new technologies while constructing or repairing the highways.
