OREANDA-NEWS. July 09, 2013. During the first month of operation of the Velobike City Bicycle Hire Service Project implemented by the Bank of Moscow in co-operation with the Transport and Road Infrastructure Development Department of Moscow, more than 21500 subscriptions have been bought.

The most popular tariff is still a one day hire (over 70 % of the total number of subscriptions). The share of monthly subscriptions is about 13% with about the same percentage of monthly and seasonal subscriptions, i.e. 6% and 9% respectively.

All in all 23 000 hires were made. The average time of one ride is about 40 minutes. The statistics show that the evening time is the peak hour for the hire service, i.e. between 5 and 10 pm. This said, the biggest number of hires has been fixed between 7 and 8 pm.

The leaders among the bike parking stations are still the same with the most popular ten being located in Gogolevsky, Chistoprudny and Tverskoy boulevards and in the Kuznetsky Most Street.

15 thefts were registered during the first month. 6 were found with 4 having been returned and 2 being detained by the police as physical evidence.
