OREANDA-NEWS. On June 20, 2013 Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists (LPK) honoured and awarded Lithuanian companies manufacturing and exporting goods of Lithuanian origin. Lithuanian Exporter of the Year 2012 awards in three categories were given to 21 national companies.

Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevicius, LPK President Robertas Dargis and Head of LPK export committee and jury Vidmantas Janulevicius.

Nomination winners in Large Enterprise group: Achema, KG Group, Klaipedos juru kroviniu kompanija Bega, Lietuvos gelezinkeliai, Lifosa, ORLEN Lietuva, Plunges kooperatine prekyba, Staticus, Viciunai ir partneriai, Vilnika.

Lithuanian Exporter of the Year 2012 prize was presented to Achema CEO Valdemaras Vareika.

In Small and Medium Sized Enterprise group Exporters of the Year were Klasikine tekstile, Aconitum, Amber pasta, Dolomitas, Dovaina, Elmoris, Pack Klaipeda, Sicor Biotech, Terekas.

Participants were judged by total export volume and size as compared to total production of goods and services and by export growth. Indicators were compared year-on-year. Besides, judges took into account additional criteria, such as: labour productivity, investments, implementation of international management and quality standards.
