Nomos Group's Lending to Small Business in Q1 Rose to RUB 41.6 Billion
OREANDA-NEWS. Lending to small businesses by Nomos Group as of 31 March 2013 totaled 41.6 billion rubles (IFRS), up 6.9% from December 31, 2012.
Small business continues to be one of the fastest growing segments of the Group's business. The share of loans in this segment of Nomos Group's loan portfolio as of March 31 2013 was 6.5%.
“Small business has always been and remains one of the priorities in the strategy of Nomos Group and Otkritie Bank. This year, we plan to ensure the growth of the loan portfolio and other segment performance indicators at above the average,” said Fyodor Sytin, head of NOMOS-BANK's small business department. “In 2013 we will offer a wide range of additional credit, insurance, and cash settlement products that enable our customers to receive a full range of financial services at competitive prices.”
Operating income before provisions for impairment in the small business segment for Q1 2013 totaled about 1.3 billion, or 10.8% of the aggregate of the Group's four key business segments.
Segment net income for Q1 2013 totaled RUB 473 million, up 1.3 times over Q1 2012. As of March 31 2013, Nomos Group's small business clients numbered about 81,900.
