In June 2013, Deflation Index in Georgia Made 0,6%
OREANDA-NEWS. Deflation in Georgia made 0,6% in June 2013, as compared to May 2013.
Over the reporting period, prices of foodstuffs and of light drinks were decreased by 1,8%. Prices of transport use were decreased by 0,2%. Prices of communal service were decreased by 0,6%. Prices of service at hotels, cafe and restaurants were increased by 0,8%, while those in the education field – by 0,1% and in the health care field – by 0,2%. Prices of communication service and of alcohol and tobacco remained unchanged.
In June 2013 compared to June 2012, the inflation index in Georgia made 0,2%. Prices of alcohol drinks and tobacco were increased by 2,3%. Service at hotels, cafe and restaurants rose in price by 3,9%. Prices of foodstuffs and light drinks were increased by 1,8%. Prices of communal services were increased by 0,4%. Prices in the health care field were increased by 4,5%. Prices of transport use were decreased by 4,9%, those in the education field were decreased by 1,8% in the reporting period. Prices in the communications field were decreased by 0,2%.
