OREANDA-NEWS. Works for installation of the first 250 bored piles for foundations of gas-pumping units (GPUs) have been completed on Korenovskaya compressor station.

Near 5 thousand support structures of such type (in total) will be installed for foundations of buildings and facilities on the compressor station. At the same time the works for monolithic grillage placing are performed to construct the foundations for GPUs and air-cooling units.

On the first stage of construction (till the end of 2016) five GPUs will be installed on Korenovskaya compressor station with the capacity of 25 MW each. Further (by 2017) there will be constructed the second shop with four GPUs of the same type. Aggregate capacity of nine GPUs will amount to 225 MW.

Korenovskaya CS is one of the four compressor stations to be constructed within the first stage of gas pipeline system construction that will provide the gas supply to the South Stream gas pipeline.
