OREANDA-NEWS. The OAO LUKOIL Press Service would like to announce that Vagit Alekperov, OAO LUKOIL President, and Nouri al-Maliki, Prime-minister of Iraq, had talks in Moscow on 30 June 2013. Also took part in the meeting Abdul Karim Luaibi, Iraqi Minister of Oil.

The parties discussed progress of West Qurna-2 field-development project, the company's plans to develop Block-10 and other prospective projects in which the company may participate.

As was noted by the representatives of the Iraqi leadership, LUKOIL strictly abides by all its commitment as regards the West Qurna-2 project. They expressed confidence that the company would be able to expand its presence in Iraq.
