OREANDA-NEWS. July 03, 2013. Technology, engineering and project management company Neste Jacobs and Abu Dhabi based Borouge have signed a long-term contract where Neste Jacobs provides Engineering, Project Management and Consultancy Services to Borouge.

Under the contract, Neste Jacobs will deliver Borouge specialized services such as studies, design, engineering, project management and support services connected with implementation of projects as well as services related to development of process, automation and plant performance.

Borouge is one of the world's leading polyolefins (Polyethylene, Polypropylene and Low density Polyethylene) producers. Their annual capacity in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi will reach 4.5 million tonnes by 2014 making it the world's largest integrated polyolefin complex. The petrochemical plants include the world's largest ethane cracking and Olefins conversion units. Borouge is owned by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), who manages and oversees oil production of more than 2.7 million barrels a day, and European based Borealis, a leading provider of chemical and innovative plastics solutions.
