OREANDA-NEWS. July 03, 2013. This summer, SEB will be renewing the look of its e-channels, so that the services could be conveniently used in mobile devices as well as computers. Clients can see the updated website, to which a renewed mobile bank shall be added soon.

“Using mobile devices in banking services has, in the last two years, grown exponentially. Two years ago, the mobile bank was still a niche channel through which our banking services were used about 2,000 times per month. Thanks to the triumph of tablets, and especially smart phones, mobile devices are today used for banking about 400,000 times per month and this number is growing each month by 8 per cent. The future of e-banking is in mobile devices, therefore we are updating our e-services, keeping mobile phone users in mind,” said Eerika Vaikmae-Koit, SEB Board Member and Head of Retail Banking and Technology.

From today, SEB’s website www.seb.ee has a new design that is more modern and user-friendly. The website uses responsive design, meaning that the design and layout change according to the device type — the website changes its form according to the screen size and shape, both for desktop and tablet computers as well as for mobile phones. The new website menu structure is now clearer; similar to the Internet bank, the website now has a top menu and no left menu. As a result, the page is now wider and the content consumption is more comfortable. The third change is a new search system, in which the results are more accurate and presented more clearly.

Similarly to the website, SEB will soon also update its mobile bank. Additional information on the changes will be available in the beginning of July.
