OREANDA-NEWS. Nalco Foundation has bagged an award in the category of 'Best Corporate Social Responsibility Practices - 2013', at the Responsible Business Summit & Awards, held at Mumbai, yesterday. On behalf of the Foundation, Shri Aswini Kumar Choudhury, Chief Operating Officer, received the award.

Right from inception, NALCO has been laying special emphasis on CSR and has been allocating 1% of its net profit every year for carrying out various developmental activities.

In order to strengthen its CSR activities, the company has set up standalone Nalco Foundation in 2010 and increased its fund allocation by another 1% of net profit. The Foundation has taken up some significant projects in health, education, drinking water and other areas of community development.
