OREANDA-NEWS. OMK-Tube (OMK-Tube, Inc, Houston, Texas, USA, part of the United Metallurgical Company, OMK CJSC, Moscow) was announced the winner of the 4th annual AMM Awards for Steel Excellence 2013 in the Best Greenfield/Brownfield project nomination. The winner was announced following the contest held by American Metal Market, the expert analytical journal on the US steel market, for construction and launching of ОМК-Tube, the OCTG pipe-producing plant in Houston.

The winners were awarded on June 18 in New York during the Steel Success Strategies XXVIII Conference. The most innovative and highest achieving companies operating in the US steel market were awarded in 13 nominations. The awards' finalists were ArcelorMittal USA LLC, Evraz Inc. North America, Steel Dynamics Inc., and The Material Works Ltd., etc.
