OREANDA-NEWS. “Passenger hour” action was held in Moscow Domodedovo Airport. The event organizers were the Linear Department of the Interior for the Transport Sector and Domodedovo Airport. The security services experts of the leading airlines-partners - Transaero and S7 Airlines - and public prosecution office for supervision over the air and water transport law execution representatives. During an hour the specialists were answering air travelers' and Domodedovo airport guests' questions - the action was carried out in airport passenger terminal.

In Domodedovo “Passenger hour” was held for the first time in 2012. The event attracted air travelers - most questions were on the topics of “children's security in airport” and “organization of public order on the territory of air-terminal complex”.

This event attracted even more attention - in the summer vacations period all are interested to know how law-enforcement agencies, airport and airlines provide ground and air security. The main idea of “Passenger hour” was a readiness to dialogue of law-enforcement agencies and security services; it was confirmed in practice: alive discussions between the passengers and specialists concerned not only theoretical questions, but everyday practice as well - passengers together with experts learned how the inspection equipment works on entering the terminal and also found out about airport dog service.

Head of the Linear Department of the Interior for the Transport Sector in Domodedovo Airport Sergey Starostin noticed: “We are ready to answer citizens requests anytime but it doesn't cancel a necessity of such special actions - it is important to tell passengers how security works is exactly carried out and also to receive feedbacks about our work. We thank the airport and airlines for the support and participation in provision information to the public”.
