OREANDA-NEWS. A joint meeting for safety and security at railway facilities of the heads of JSC “NC “KTZ” and the Department of Internal Affairs on transport of MFA of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held.

Managing director for traffic safety of JSC “NC “KTZ” Kadyl Talaspekov noted that the purpose of the meeting was to identify shortcomings in the work together and make plans to eliminate them.

First Deputy Head of the Department of Internal Affairs on transport, Police Colonel Sapar Sheryazdanov reminded that crime, the threat of terrorism keep to be relevant in the transport sector.

During the presentations, questions and answers, interchange of views, participants determined the optimal date and content of the joint activities.

The railway takes an active role in the maintenance of law and order. At present, work has begun on upgrading video surveillance systems at railway stations. Before the end of 2014 50% of the stations will be equipped with modern tracking systems.

Representatives of KTZ informed colleagues that the railway struggles against embezzlement and corruption. In particular, electronic interaction with customers, online technology, accounting and control systems were introduced.

In turn, in order to ensure public order K.Talaspekov recommended the traffic police personnel to expand their presence at stations, enter duty positions at small stations.

Following the meeting will be signed a joint protocol with the specific instructions of the authorities on the issues discussed.
