PBC Attended Meeting of Governors of Carribean Development Bank
OREANDA-NEWS. July 01, 2013. Deputy Governor Li Dongrong led the Chinese delegation to attend the 43 annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the Carribean Development Bank in Saint Lucia. On the margin of the meeting, Li Dongrong met with Dr. William Warren Smith, President of the Carribean Development Bank, and exchanged opinions on strengthening cooperation.
The Carribean Development Bank is a sub-regional intergovernmental development institution. It was established in 1970 and headquartered in Barbados. The bank has 26 member states and China joined it in 1997.
Li Dongrong visited the Central Reserve Bank of Peru after the annual meeting. The two sides exchanged views on how to promote local currency settlement of bilateral trade, macro-economic management and policies, human resources management, and etc. Li Dongrong also discussed with representatives of Chinese enterprises and institutions in Peru on the promotion of Renminbi settlement of bilateral trade.
