OREANDA-NEWS. The feasibility report on the adjustment and construction of Bengbu-Foshan flood-water discharge area was approved, according to Anhui Provincial Development and Reform Commission.

The approval marked the full initiation of further harnessing Huai River decided by State Council in 2011.

The total investment of the project hit 5.604 billion CNY, including 3.414 billion CNY from central government. It is learned that the project is the biggest water conservancy project in Anhui.
