Andritz to Upgrade BCTMP Line for Bohui Paper in China
OREANDA-NEWS. June 27, 2013. International technology Group Andritz has received the order to supply a new pre-treatment stage for Bohui Paper’s BCTMP line 1 in Shandong province, China.
The pre-treatment stage for the board production line has a capacity of approximately 600 t/d and comprises an Andritz Impressafiner MSD, an Andritz impregnator and an Andritz chip bin discharger. Start-up is scheduled for the 1Q 2014, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
A pre-treatment stage with an Andritz Impressafiner MSD, a key equipment in Andritz mechanical pulping systems, is essential for state-of-the-art TMP processes. The benefits of a pre-treatment with an Andritz Impressafiner MSD includes maximum liquor uptake while squeezing out distracting extractives and heavy metals. Moreover, the chip treatment in the Andritz pre-treatment stage balances the chip bulk density as well as the chip moisture profile, consequently preparing perfect conditions for the down-streamed refining process – a determining process step in terms of optimum pulp properties and energy savings.
Bohui Paper is one of the leading Chinese producers of folding box board, testliner board, kraftliner board, and of printing and writing paper.
