WB: Uzbekistan's GDP Will Grow by 7.4% in 2013
OREANDA-NEWS. The growth of gross domestic product (GDP) of Uzbekistan will grow by 7.4%, says the World Bank in its June edition of the Global Economic Prospects (GEP) report.
In its January edition of the report, the World Bank forecasted that the economy of Uzbekistan will grow by 7.5% in 2013.
The World Bank also revised its forecasts for the GDP growth of Uzbekistan in 2014 and 2015. According to the bank, Uzbekistan's GDP will rise by 7.1% in 2014 (in January report, the forecast was 7%) and 6.7% in 2015 (6.8%).
The report noted that the current account balance of Uzbekistan will make up 1.1% to GDP in 2013 (in January report - 4.5%) and 1.3% in 2014 (4%), as well as 2.2% in 2015 (3.8%).
