OREANDA-NEWS. Rostelecom OJSC (the “Group”) (MICEX - RTS: RTKM, RTKMP; OTCQX: ROSYY), Russia's national telecommunications operator, today announces that Vadim Semenov, General Director of OJSC Svyazinvest, has been elected as Chairman of Rostelecom's Board of Directors.

Biographical Information:

Vadim Semenov was born on August 21, 1965 in Leningrad. Since October 2010, Mr. Semenov has been the General Director of OJSC Svyazinvest.

Between 2009 and 2010, Mr. Semenov served as Rostelecom's Vice President for legal matters and corporate development and as corporate development advisor to the President of Rostelecom.

From 2003 to 2009, Mr. Semenov held senior positions at OJSC MegaFon, including the position of Legal Director.

Between 1999 and 2003, Mr. Semenov provided legal support on a number of key transactions which saw the consolidation of mobile phone companies.

From 1987 to 1999, Mr. Semenov held various positions at state authorities and organisations, where he was responsible for legal matters.

Mr. Semenov graduated with Law degree from Leningrad State University named after A.A. Zhdanov (now St. Petersburg State University) in 1987.
