UTair Helicopters Takes Part in Rescue Operations in Uttarakhand
OREANDA-NEWS. Since June 18, 2013 UTair India Private Limited, a part of UTair Group, has launched services for rescue operations involving the evacuation of pilgrims from mountain regions of India.
In the Northern Indian state of Uttarakhand, approximately 25,000 religious tourists have been stranded as a result of a monsoon. Two UTair India Eurocopter AS-350 B3 helicopters have taken part in rescue operations. An additional UTair India helicopter is on its way to affected areas near Fat and Dehradun from New Delhi.
Operations are taking place in a mountain district at heights of up to 4,000 meters above sea-level. UTair Helicopters have already evacuated 1,000 people.
UTair India is a part of UTair Group and offers transport services in different sectors such as oil and gas, transport, pilgrimage, infrastructural and energy projects, geophysical and cartographical research, and aerial photo and film production. At present the fleet of UTair India consists of three new French made Eurocopter AS350 B3 helicopters.
