OREANDA-NEWS. June 26, 2013. The strategy is aimed at developing mechanisms and methods of solving problems in the construction area and at creating leverage to develop the building industry of Moldova. According to Director of the Architecture and Construction Department Elena Bejenaru, the strategy will describe the current situation in the sector and the outlook for its development; analyze its strengths and weaknesses; possibilities and risks and strategic priorities as well.

The document is going to be based on the national development strategy of Moldova 2012-2020 and the mid-term budget projection for 2013-2015. Main goals of the strategy include creation of the regulatory and legal framework and its harmonization with European standards; development of the construction branch and promotion of modern technologies in the manufacture of building materials; improvement of quality of building output and building services.

The development of the construction branch is going to be achieved through attraction of public and private domestic and overseas investment. According to the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction, there has been no the like branch document in Moldova.
