OREANDA-NEWS. On June 7 a delegation of Austrian companies visited the production facilities of the Kirov Group in Saint Petersburg and learned about its local and international projects.

The Austrian businessmen also examined production sites of the subsidiaries of the Kirov Group such as St. Petersburg Tractor Plant, Kirov-Energomash and Kirov-Transmission and discussed differences in manufacturing processes in both countries.

The delegation consisted of young managers from the Austrian federal state of Styria representing local businesses such as Raiffeisenlandesbank, Knapp AG, Obad Beschriftungen GmbH, GAW Technologies GmbH, Serenzo Flooring Industries GmbH, Komptech GmbH and others. All of the companies are members of the Federation of Austrian Industries that initiated the visit to Saint Petersburg.

According to Tina Puchtler, a representative of the Federation, the group members appreciated the opportunity to learn about the history, daily routines and projects of the Russian industrial holding. "We were especially impressed with the wide variety of products that Kirovsky Zavod has manufactured over the years and its ambitious plans for the future," said Puchtler.

The Austrian managers also expressed their interest in developing joint projects with Kirovsky Zavod and its subsidiaries in the future.
