PM Commissions to Prepare to 2014 Ukraine&Parners Business Conference
OREANDA-NEWS. June 21, 2013. At a session of the Cabinet of Ministers Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov has commissioned the members of the Government pursuant to their competency to ready propositions concerning forming the Organization Committee for preparation of “Ukraine&Partners” business conference of 2014.
“I commission all members of the Government within their competency to prepare propositions concerning forming the Organization Committee for preparation of the Conference in 2014, their concepts, agenda and a circle of participants,” Mykola Azarov has said and added: “I ask ministers, heads of central executive authorities to continue business dialog, not to lose the established contacts with partners, to do everything necessary so that we could use possibilities we have created.”
The Premier emphasized that under present conditions of post-crisis reconstruction of global economics our country has a unique chance to unlock the potential (resource, human, transit), to realize ambitious investment projects, to achieve modern innovation and technological standards: “All this corresponds to the tasks of modernization of the economics which were set in front of us by the Head of the state.”.
He reminded that on June 13-14 Kyiv hosted a two-day business conference “ABC: Ukraine&Partners” initiated and organized by the Cabinet of Minister of Ukraine. “The need in holding of such forum became the answer to the growing interest of investors to our country. Under these conditions it proves necessary a direct dialog between the authorities and business, stirring up of state-private partnership in the interests of economic development of Ukraine, creating of workplaces,” the Head of Government explained.
The Prime Minister also informed the conference had been attended by over 3.5 thousand businessmen and entrepreneurs who represented over 1.5 thousand of companies, firms and corporations from 62 world countries. The work of the conference was elucidated by 400 journalists with more than 100 foreign out of this number.
In the frames of the conference there were held 16 panel discussions and roundtables into most urgent problems of the development of Ukraine’s economics.
“It has been the first such large-scale business forum over the years of independence of Ukraine,” Mykola Azarov highlighted.
