Sberbank Investment Research, the research division of Sberbank CIB and one of the largest and most experienced analytical teams in the market, has continued to build on its recent success by securing the top position at the Institutional Investor All-Russia Research Team 2013 rankings, announced in Moscow. An impressive seven analysts from Sberbank Investment Research appeared in this year's ranking of the top ten analysts.

Sberbank Investment Research was voted the leading All-Russia Research Team by Institutional Investor, with the team’s analysts recording leadership positions in the following seven fields: Economics (Evgeny Gavrilenkov), Fixed-Income Strategy (Alexander Kudrin), Consumer (Mikhail Krasnoperov), Metals & Mining (Mikhail Stiskin), Oil & Gas (Oleg Maximov), and Real Estate (Julia Gordeyeva). Gavrilenkov and Kudrin are two of three analysts in the market who have been included in this ranking for ten years running. Top honors were also received for Equity Strategy. Sberbank CIB was also named as having both Russia’s top trading as well as sales teams.  

Earlier this month, Sberbank Investment Research swept the board in the prestigious Thomson Reuters Extel Pan-Europe Survey 2013 which recognizes outstanding performance in the investment industry. Sberbank Investment Research was voted as the leading brokerage firm in Russia and its sector teams of analysts topped no fewer than nine categories covering Banks & Other Financials, Consumer/Retail, Economics & Macroeconomics, Equity Strategy, Fixed Income Research, Metals & Mining, Oil & Gas, Telecommunications and Utilities. Sberbank Investment Research’s analysts also commanded ten out of twelve individual first places in their respective sectors.

Additionally, last week Andy Smith, Head of Equity Research, Managing Director, was honored with the Sammons Associates’ best Head of Research in EMEA award. Sammons Associates is a London-based executive search firm.
