It's over a month after the attack of Ya'an Earthquake, but a great number of warm-hearted people are still worrying about the reconstruction of the disaster-stricken area. “I have always wanted to do something for the people in the disaster-stricken area, but I couldn't find an appropriate channel until I received the short message sent by the Credit Card Center of Industrial Bank (IB) a few days ago. I sent back a short message, successfully making a donation to the earthquake-attacked area with my credit card points. Though not much money has been donated, it carries my love to the people in the disaster-stricken area!” As a holder of IB credit card, Ms Sun felt glad for her donation to the disaster-stricken area.

The story goes as follows. After Ya'an Earthquake, to support the reconstruction of the quake-hit area, IB launched the credit card points based donation campaign named “Ya'an, Push On” in collaboration with China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, calling credit card holders to make donation with their credit card points via the interactive SMS platform. By sending back a short message, the holders of IB credit cards can convert their credit card points into donation at the rate of “400 points = 1 RMB”, to support the post-quake reconstruction of Ya'an.

As learnt by the reporter, by June 30 the holders of IB credit cards can also conveniently exchange their credit card points for donation in the “market for exchange of points” at the official website of IB credit cards in addition to the points based donation via the interactive SMS platform. The donation amounts and details of all card holders can be checked at the official donation platform of IB Credit Card Center. IB will entrust China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation to donate all the funds raised in this credit card points based donation campaign “Ya'an, Push On” after the conclusion of the campaign, with notarization of the donated money by Shanghai Pudong Notary Public Office, so as to ensure the transparency and public trust of “love”. Since the launch of the campaign, more than 6700 holders of IB credit cards have donated over RMB 110,000 within a period as short as two weeks.

After the attack of Ya'an Earthquake, IB made the first donation of RMB 10 million to the disaster-stricken area at the earliest possible time, and called all employees of the bank to make donation. Up to now, IB and its employees have donated a total of RMB 20.91 million to the quake-hit area. This credit card points based donation campaign “Ya'an, Push On” is another innovative action taken by IB to perform its social responsibilities.
