OREANDA-NEWS. The 14th meeting of the Working Group "Banks" of the Ukrainian-German High Level Group on Economic Cooperation (hereinafter referred as the meeting), which was co-chaired by Mr. Oleksii Tkachenko, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine, and Mr. Per Fischer, Senior Managing Director and Head of Financial Institutions at Commerzbank AG, was held in Lviv.

The leading experts from the National Bank of Ukraine and Ukrainian banks, German financial institutions and banks and their representative offices in Ukraine participated in the meeting.

During the course of the meeting, the Ukrainian and German sides shared experience and expressed their views on a number of topical issues.

The German side pointed out that the policy pursued by the National Bank was oriented towards the stability of Ukrainian banking system and sustainability of Ukraine's economic growth.

The meeting was held in in an atmosphere of constructive dialogue. At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides reaffirmed their determination to further develop Ukrainian-German cooperation in the banking sphere..

The Working Group “Banks” refers to a specialized group on banking and financial issues established as part of the Ukrainian-German Cooperation Council on Cooperation, which was incorporated into the Ukrainian German High Level Group on Economic Cooperation when the latter was created.
