OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 June SCM is launching an idea contest for corporate gifts 2014 under its project Gifts with Ukrainian Soul. This year the move will be supported by several businesses of SCM Group: DTEK, Ukraina Media Group as well as Ukraina, Futbol and NLO TV channels. The winners will get orders to produce gifts and display their works at exhibitions organised by ArtPoint project in Kiev, Donetsk and Lvov.

The official homepage of the contest is available on SCM's CSR website where applicants can read the terms and conditions, apply and learn about opportunities for winners.

"At SCM Group we are sure that our country is rich in Masters with a big "M" able to create authentic national gifts, who look at traditional things with a modern eye and are ready to prove it with their talent," said Natalia Yemchenko, SCM's director of public relations and communications. "With the contest SCM will give Ukrainian decorative arts a new feel and hopefully help it get back on feet as a small business and foster the development of Ukrainian culture."

Participants of Gifts with Ukrainian Soul are welcome to apply in the following categories:

decorative plates (customer - SCM)

embroidery (customer - DTEK)

decorative embroidery (customer - Ukraina Media Group)

patchwork (customer - TV channel)

football decorations (customer - Futbol TV channel)

felt toys (customer - NLO TV channel)

Freestyle is an extra category where SCM will select interesting stories and ideas for possible implementation in the future. Besides, the company will look for talents inside the Group.

An expert jury comprised of project partners will call winners on 5 August 2013. The best masters will get orders to produce gifts for SCM Group and display their works in November at the exhibitions organised by ArtPoint project in Kiev, Donetsk and Lvov.

Earlier, in 2012 SCM launched a pilot project Gifts with Ukrainian Soul, where huta glassmakers from Lvov Oblast produced 1,200 bespoke plates that SCM gave to its partners across the globe as New Year presents.
