OREANDA-NEWS. IPLOCA (International Pipe Line and Offshore Contractors Association) Regional Meeting for Europe Eastern took place on 4 – 5 of June in Moscow. The event was arranged by LLC "STROYGAZMONTAZH".

Over 50 directors and top-managers from Russian and international companies took part in the meeting, including OAO Gazprom, ÎÀÎ NOVATEK, OOO Stroygazconsulting, PJSC Stroytransgaz, MAX STREICHER (Germany), Goriziane Group SPA (Italy), Caterpillar (USA), Habau (Austria), Olajterv Group (Hungary), Spicapag (France) as well as Russian Oil and Gas Contractors Union, NP "SO AGOC" and SR "NP "COGF".

IPLOCA Director for Europe Eastern, Mr. Iosif Panchak, pointed that "The main objective of the Regional Meeting is to share experience with regard to international level projects execution for construction of major infrastructure facilities".

The Plenary Session was opened by IPLOCA Executive Secretary, Juan Arzuaga, who highlighted the importance of such meetings to be held on a regular basis. "IPLOCA activities are focused on adaptation of national standards for pipeline construction to comply with international standards. Members of the Association have obvious benefits from their membership. In fact it’s an elite club that incorporate best enterprises carrying out engineering and construction works in fuel and energy complex", - said Mr. Bogdan Budzulyak, the Adviser to CEO, LLC "SGM".

Topical issues concerning the construction of gas production, transmission and processing facilities were discussed at the meeting as well as innovative engineering solutions that are implemented during project execution.

International Pipe Line and Offshore Contractors Association (IPLOCA) was founded in 1966. It has united the top world contractors in oil and gas construction industry. IPLOCA activities involve the preparation of international standards and guidelines for construction companies as well as for professional improvement and sharing experiences between colleagues.

IPLOCA Europe Eastern Geographical area comprises the companies making business in the Former Soviet Union countries as well as in Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Montenegro, the Czech Republic and Turkey.
